Appreciate me… please…

That’s all I am going to say. =)

Chinese Culture Competition

Yay! Finally the Chinese Culture Competition is over, and I end up as 14th, out of 20 finalists. Not bad for me, as the efforts I invested in it is merely enough to compete with the rest, hehe. =)

It was fun, and I was very nervous before it starts, but the competition was hell lot easier than I thought it is. The questions are easy, but for us CHMS finalists, luck wasn’t there. All three of us, except KangNi, survived the first round, but was eliminated in the second round. Why? Because the questions were all about geography(of China), which is our weakest section, gah!~

ChiHo and YuanXi should be able to make it to the top 3, gah, too bad. However, ChiHo was so lucky(or not?) to get 10th, which is the last one to be able to get the B$50 cash prize. He promised to treat me my lunch tomorrow, wahahaha. =) Congrats yeah?

I had a lot of unexpected fun yesterday, haha. I thought it would be a boring, quiet and serious competition, but it wasn’t! It was quite noisy(with all the CHMS folks around, haha), and there’s a lot of laughter and interaction in between the host and audiences.

They prepared a lot of prizes for the audiences, and they asked questions. Almost all the prizes(some 30+ of them?) were won by CHMS people, which shows how active CHMS people are, haha. YuanXi’s family is crazy! He and the two little brothers of him grabbed around 10 prizes in total, holy shit! Haha.

They were running, laughing and rumbling for the microphone and prizes! Haha, it was funny.

However, when Pehin Lau(Hua Ho’s owner) was invited to award the prizes to the winners(of the questions open to audiences), he scolded them! Haha. He said that they shouldn’t be running like that, as if they don’t have manners and etc. Gosh, I can’t stop laughing! Haha. It’s pretty lame, lame reason to be scolded, LoL! =p

And the Pehin Lau then started to give his ultra long speech. Man, he’s really not an ordinary old man! Haha. His speech was great, but no one(no students) understand him! He started with typical china style chinese, then hokkien, then Malay! He practically mixed all the languages together and switch in between them fluently! Haha.

He kept talking, talking and talking! Everyone is laughing(because he’s like talking to himself? And keep talking in Bahasa Brunei?), and even when the MC said thank you and asks him to step down, he still continue! Then everyone clapped hands for like two minutes, but yet he continued to talk, as if he heard nothing about the clappings!

He’s an interesting old man I suppose? And from what he said, I can see that it’s about some conspiracy and political issues in my school. He’s somewhat scolding our board of directors, saying that they don’t respect our teachers and principal. It’s an interesting one tho. Hmmm…

P.S : Solely personal opinion!

And then after his speech(not only once! He keep interupting the closing ceremony by suddenly went up the stage and talk! No one really dare to stop him, as he’s the pehin and datuk, haha), prize giving for finalists and qualifiers were held. I represented CHMS to receive 27 certificates(for qualifying the exam) from HaoHan’s dad. And later we all went up to get our trophies, yay! The trophy looks good, but weird tho, ah well, unique! Haha.

And then eat! Haha.

Oh yea, I was ‘boo’-ed this morning, when I went up the stage to receive my trophy, duh. And guess who did that? JingYi and Jeffrey they all, haha, who else will? -.-” I heard JingYI(I think? Special laughter I must say, hehe) LOL(laugh out loud!)!! Sigh, was hurt, LoL, kidding. =)

Oh yea people, I love this newly discovered website called Kevin Sites(In The Hot Zone), by Yahoo!. It’s a website maintained by a strong team in Yahoo!, which I think they’re currently at Lebanon(or Israel? Anyway, that’s the reason for them to call themselves “In the hot zone”, I think?), and is practically the most updated and focused website on the current issue - Israel and Lebanon Conflinct in Middle East. =) Stay tune people!

Oh yea, “WE WANT PEACE!”, haha. =)

Who Should Win?

One of the hottest topic among CHMS students(particularly form5s) now is definitely about the winner of the Chinese Drama Competition.

The result is really shocking, as the team which everyone thought who would definitely be the champion didn’t make in to the top three. =(

On the other hand, another team from our class won it instead, pretty suprising after all. Anyway, I would still like to congrates several of them, especially MayYan, KangNi, ChiaYee and ZongLin(whatever, at least I am judging from a fair side), for which I think they did a great job.

P.S : For CheaXin, I would like to apologize upon the joke I played on you in class today. Don’t worry, you looks good when you do the solo thing, seriously. =) Sorry ya?

Reason for them hitting the top, as teacher said, is that their story are good and continuing, which I don’t agree at all. They have a strong topic, I must say(Say No to Drug), but their characters don’t have a personality. It seems like all their characters are paranoids who keep switching identities and have no personality at all. But ah well, it’s a drama after all, and maybe that’s how it should be. =S

On the other hand, the reason teacher gave for Jeffrey’s team to lose the competition is that their recording is too blur, which is true. However, there’s no point for them to fail to hit the top 3, just because of the recording. Their recording is blur, but still understandable and readable(hearable?). I don’t know, it just don’t make sense for them to fall out of the top 3 just because of such lame reason! And they have the best sound effects eh? -.-”

I strongly believe that this is not the REAL result, and something is behind all these. Hmmm….

Also I had been ‘trapped’ in between people a lot lately, and I did quite a bad job in being a messenger, sigh. But that’s the best I could do, as it isn’t wise for me to pass words by words to both parties, or there would be a war, also lots of tears! =p

I scolded a friend for this, and I don’t regret in doing so. She should be taught, and learn to think before she talk. I hold the possibility of me misunderstood her, but yet the reason for me scolding her isn’t plainly for what happened this time, but also what she had been doing for ALL(for years I suppose?) these time, so there isn’t going to be much change, even if I did misunderstood her.

I have a lot to say, but yet too little time to type all them out. I just woke up at 8pm just now, and I must go back to my Chinese Culture Competition revision soon. I still have a lot to catch up, and the revision session today showed that I am the weakest among the four representatives of CHMS, holy shit.

The competition would be held in Huo Ho Manggis Mall tomorrow, so, wish me luck people. =)

Oh yeah people, just discovered Google Store, which I believe that it had been there for quite a long time. My bad, for discovering is so late, how can I call myself a Google Fan Boy? =( My favourite products would be of the following. =)

P.S : We received our trophies for the Chinese Web Designing Competition today, Yay! =) And another trophy coming tomorrow, for the Chinese Culture Competition(we’re the top 20, so, even if we were eliminated, we still get a trophy), Yay! =)

Upsala, originally uploaded by Ricardo Bevilaqua.

The above photo is a shot on the Upsala Glacier from Argentina. It’s actually some sort of glacier called blue ice.

Blue ice occurs when snow falls on a glacier, is compressed, and becomes part of a glacier. During its travels, all of the air bubbles that are trapped in the ice are squeezed out, and the size of the ice crystals increases, making it clear. The ice is blue for the same reason water is blue. Namely, it is a result of an overtone of a OH molecular stretch in the water which absorbs light at the red end of the visible spectrum. (From Wikipedia )

My short half an hour flickr exploration leads me to a lot of marvelous photos, and I picked this one as my favourite. =)

It’s such an impressive photo, and it’s not a digi-art! =) I wish I could see this blue ice in real. * drooling~ *
