Shopping Frenzy : Books, gadgets
Posted in: UncategorizedWho says that shopping is a woman’s privilege? I love shopping too! =)
Probably due to the fact that I accompanied my mom and sis go shopping every weekends. I am always around with them no matter what departments they’re heading to, included the bra section(when I was young, I stay close with them, and since few years ago, I started to stand beside the department and wait for them), dang!
Well, I love to buy things, and I am quite a big spender after all. =)
I went to the Mall twice on Saturday night and yesterday, because mom’s working there(their company have a roadshow there). I bought a new 512MB pendrive and also a new optical mouse, yuhoo! =) Love both of them! =)
And yesterday afternoon, mom suddenly suggest us to go Miri. I agreed and we go directly from The Mall to Miri. =) Hehe. Of course we went home to grab our passports first.
We reached Miri at 3:30pm, and guess what? We started from Brunei at 2pm, wao, it’s fast. Anyway, we head straights to Parkson, and there’s a Parkson Grand Sale, yeah! =) I didn’t buy anything tho, but I was looking at the photo frames, but mom keep pushing me so I didn’t get any of them.
When we go Parkson(Bintang Plaza actually), we never miss out Popular Bookstore. And hell yea, they’re having a grand sale too! =) And in Miri(and probably everywhere in the world except Brunei), when they call it a “Grand Sale”, IT IS a grand sale, unlike in Brunei, GRAND SALE means they doubled the list price, and tagged it as “Half priced!”, duh.
There’s a bunch of books at great prices(mostly 20%-30%), and I am so happy when I saw one of Jimmy’s book tagged 50%! =) Many of you who actually went into a Chinese Bookstore before should had heard of Jimmy before. He’s an illustrator with ultimate imagination. He’s known as the most famous illustrator in Asia. I love his books but could never afford them. You know, these books with lots of illustrations/photos/graphics are expensive, and they have very few words over them, haha. So I usually just read them in the bookstore, and put it back on the rack. =) And this time it’s offered at a 50% discount! Oh my gosh, I grabbed two copies at first, and put back one of them later, haha. I was thinking of getting a few more copies as gifts for friends and teachers(teachers’ day), but, haha, I already have a few more books in my hand at that time, so, so…
JimmySpa : Jimmy’s official website. Four languages available.
And I also bought a book about a diary of a guy who got cancer. The guy is 21 years old, and from the day he knew that he had cancer, he started to write the diary. He forced himself to write in a funny, cheerful and hilarious way so his family won’t be sad or worried. It’s a nice book with a lot of casual sketches, and it shows us how we should face life, or even death. It’s a great book, a top seller in Taiwan. The guy did survive in the end tho, which he thought he would die, and he published this book. =) Highly recommended! =) Hehe.
Another book I bought is called “Kiss All The Girls”. It’s a chinese novel, and I found it on the “Top 10 Seller of the Month of Popular Bookstore”, together with the second book I mentioned above. It’s a novel, and the packaging is simple. There’s only a page about the publication and legal notice, and the story started on the second page. It’s rare for me to pick up a book with simple packaging as I ALWAYS judge books by it’s cover, haha. On the front page, a short excerpts attracted me, “All girls should be protected, loved and cared..”. That sounds interesting, and I truly agree with it, haha. So I started to flipped through it, and it’s getting more and more interesting. =) I like the way the writer writes the book. There’s no over-dramatic descriptions like what you’ll find in most romance novels(it’s not really a romance one, more like one that girls would read, lol). The language is easy to understand, and the writer keeps it easy and clean. The story is about a guy who lost his brother not long ago, and he has no family now. His parents died long ago, and his brother’s death brought a big impact upon him. He became a guy with no ambition, and he went to a big company to work as a delivery boy.
The book told a lot about the pity life of office people, who keeps on fighting, stuggling and etc inside the office. It reveals the fight and stabbing inside the office, the story of girls being harrased by boss and etc. The guy in the story, although is just a delivery boy, tried his best to protect and help girls, but yet ask from anything from those girls after he helped them. It’s a story about a real guy who really help girls because he wants to. =) I think the same too, no matter how independent the girls and women today are, they still need protection, love and cares. And it’s a responsible of man, but most man are the one who bullied girls and etc tho, how sad. I admit that I often bully girls but bet ya I know the limit. I caused a few girls to cried before, but I can swear that I didn’t do that intentionally. Anyway, all guys who hit their wife and rape should go to hell, and also those who tried to “eat tofu”.Go HELL! =(
I can’t stop reading the book! Haha. I read it before I sleep last night, and I can’t stop, until 4am, LoL. Half way only tho. =) Highly recommended, and it says one important thing : There’s still nice male out there, haha.
And since I am such a loyal Popular fan boy, I do own a Popular Card, 3 years membership, hehe. And with that card, I got an additional 10% rebate, wao! I look into my receipts and I realized that I saved 30bucks in this Sale, wao! =) I paid RM70 for all the books, and I am so happy! =) Haha.
Check out this photo of all the stuffs I bought these day! =) The POP Club is a monthly magazine given to Popular members, I took one at the casher for free, hehe.

Haha…i believe i saw sth blue in that pic!!
Maybe u were supposed to be a girl…(JUST A JOKE!) and by some twist of nature, u ended up being a boy…haha…embrace ur feminine side like u ONCE did…(thank god i wasnt there!)
I am a man, there’s no way that I am a gay or sissy, lol. I would just say that I am a person with a very wide interest, that it could even include those that only girls will like.
