Don’t Bin it…Cash it!

Last Sunday, a scrap metal buyer came to my house - a recycling lorry. The lorry went all over the simpangs (roads, junctions), and waiting for people to come out and ask them over.

My maid noticed it, and told mum. So we asked them (two guys) over, and they loaded our cans onto their balance, 6kg (just a bag of ‘em), B$1.80 for each kg, so that’s a total of B$11. Well, not much money but since you can turn cash out of rubbish, why not?

IMO, you guys’ (during CNY or Hari Raya) should be having more cans that my family, because few people visited us during CNY (thus fewer soft drinks were consumed, and fewer cans were generated), so, your’s might weight a lot, probably a couple ten bucks to go along, yuhoo! =)

One of the guy (a Thai) gave us his number, 8722793, you are free to call them if you have cans to be sell. =) Oh ya, his name is Somdat. =) Recycling people! The cans are there, the phone is there, all you need to do is call, and collect a couple bucks (it can be more than a couple of bucks, I never expect ours to be 11 bucks)! =)

P.S: The guys were being pretty friendly (they’re quiet, not rude, pretty friendly) so don’t afraid to call them. =) Try to ask your neighbours if they want to recycle too, then call the guys over, I think it would be much better this way. =)

They also buy used stainless steels and bronze too! So if your sink rosak (broken, damaged, old) liao, can sell to them too (most sink were made of aluminium too), many metals can be recycle lo. =)

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - you can make a difference too! =)

Today is the first day of orientation, so far no torturing for us (the juniors), that’s good. It’s quite tiring and boring tho, zzzzZZZZ… Will blog about it when the three days orientation finish, hopefully no torturing on the coming days too, real life ‘horror’ stories from cousins and friends are killing me, LoL!

P.S: Almost 75% of ex-CHMS guys were caught for having long hairs, included me, HAHA. Had my hair cut just now, it’s god damn short now, gah! =(

@ Teng: Yea, that Thai buy old aircond too. XD Old PC worth even more, because there’s gold in the chips, lol.

@ Poili275: You start collect la! XD

@ Nonnie: Yeap, I know Miri price is slightly lower, my aunt always collect and sell. Erm, you call them and ask lo? I am not sure whether they got any contact in KB kah.

@ r&al: definitely not bad. =)

@ Jason: Do those recycling bin pay? XD I mean, are they just BINS or they are like a center or what? I think this one is much more convenient because they come to you, instead of you go for them. XD
