Health Expo @ ICC

As stated in my previous post, our Health Awareness Club were chosen to represent Maktab Duli (actually it’s Ministry of Education) during the Health Expo at ICC, from yesterday until Sunday.

We did a lot of stuffs (which we all regretted), and although the budget is very generous, what for? We did a lot, suddenly a teacher come in, scold/criticize our hard work, and saying that other schools completed it already and why we haven’t bla bla bla, wtf? Darn you, didn’t do anything, only know how toand talk crap there.

Seriously, I don’t feel like blogging much about the whole event anymore. Terrible experience, and this is going to be the one and only time (I/we do all these), ’nuff said.

P.S: Just ask me personally about it, lol. And by the way, some of the Biology teachers were being very nice to us, including Teacher Lina. =) Continue Reading…

Nikon D40 Test Shots, Cute Onion Head Emoticons and New Theme - Zeke 1.0

Test shot on ‘Zhao Cai Mao’, super sharp.Test shot on decorative table cloth. Super sharp and lots of details.

Here’s two test of my best test shots (other than those which flash were fired), open and view the full-size if you want, you’ll see the difference in between compact digital camera and d-SLR. =p Brunet user please don’t open, each image file is around 1.5MB. =) For those who has espeed, please check out the second one, I really like the details, so sharp! Officially a Nikon D40 owner, my first d-SLR ever!

After months of consideration (here and here) and research, I finally decided to go with Nikon D40 (instead of Canon EOS 400D, or the higher-end Nikon D80) due to:

  1. price (man, it’s a real bang for the buck, B$800 for the body and the awesome kit lens)
  2. ergonomic design (as mentioned before, I really like it’s ergonomic design, at least it feels really good in my hand)
  3. great Nikkor lenses (I don’t really give a damn about Canon’s L @ Pro lenses, they’re way over my budget. Canon doesn’t have many/any good, cheap consumer lenses, which Nikon has. 55-200mm VR is my next buy.)
  4. It’s a Nikon (I felt in love with it, not sure why but bet that it has something to do with “I am impressed by all the Nikons I came across”.)
  5. Simple (it’s so easy to use that I can just put it into auto mode and hand it over to someone else. And if, one day I plan to upgrade, I can always give it to my family members, it serves well as a very good point-and-shoot.)

I am back, with Wordpress 2.3, K2 (temporarily) RC1, and Nikon (!!!)

I am back, again. =) Sorry for my inactivity for past few weeks (or was it months?). Was a bit stress out at exams, computing project (I scored well, hehe!) and etc. I wasn’t really busy, but I found myself having a hard time concentrating in studies and almost anything else. And now, we are having both our AS papers, and normal lessons at the same time, which IMHO (in my humble opinion), is a terrible thing! We can’t concentrate - taking in new things, while revising at the same time, now this sucks. I can’t really revise, and I can’t really concentrate in class either. Anyhow, it’s past for me now, finished my last paper today - Thinking Skills paper 2 (I think I didn’t do well), and I am starting to be able to focus (at least that’s what I am doing now, focus in upgrading this blog, messing around with the back-end again). =D

I felt sorry for myself for neglecting my server (since I pay for it), and yea, it’s time to do something. =p I spent my last couple of hours installing the new Wordpress 2.3, and am looking around for good, advance theme. The current K2 theme might be temporary (personally, I found it a bit too, plain). =D For the vain header, well, I am lazy to look for another one, and I found this one particularly suitable, lol. =D

This is just a brief post which declares my return (lol), and stay tune, more to come! =)

P.S: Tomorrow is my birthday! And well, I might be posting something interesting… *hint: read the title of this post!
