The Hobo & The Loner

The Hobo, originally uploaded by IngSiang, The Vagabond.

A stray dog who wander around my neighborhood, and decided to settle down in the house next to mine.

It’s quite funny how it get along with my neighbor’s dogs, and even shared their food!

I took this when it was sleeping in a funny way (dogs do sleep this way, my dogs did it all the time, but only when they’re really sleeping, not taking a nap or what). I was just 1-2 feet away from him when I took this, and when I move away, it woke up and growl at me, lol.

I just don’t feel like naming it vagabond or wanderer, hobo sounds better, in my opinion.

The Loner

Not sure why I name it The Loner, LoL, I hate it when it comes to naming photographs, haha. I think I am having photographer’s block (refer to writer’s block), sigh. I am rotting at home, urgh..

I like the loner very much. Don’t know how to describe but it really attracts me ^^ alot.. really. I think maybe it belongs to the “dark-colour” series. And a nice close-up. =)And is that a spider? First time I found spider so nice. Haha ^^ Keep it up =D

I like ‘The Loner’ too. It’s a spider? Doesn’t look like it loh. Hehe. Whatever it is, you took a very nice shoot. :)

Derick: Haha, not something I usually do (I am more into the ‘bright’ side, like the awareness ribbons and etc), but I am glad that you like it. =p And well, it’s not a spider, it’s an ant-like creature, not sure what it is tho. =p Like a super-big (5-1cm long, 1-3mm wide) ant? xD

Mable: Explained. Thanks. =p By the way, it’s pure luck that I get the lil’ guy in my composition, hehe, read my Flickr description on it. =p

WeiDeng: ROFL, actually I think I name it loner, partially because I feel like I am lonely too, HAHA, but I actually have a theory of never admit being lonely, =p tell you next time. Hmmm, macro lens ah, so expensive, and my kit lens is actually quite good. Hmm, maybe I’ll ask chiho help me buy some extension tube to complement it, =D

Well, I actually raised the saturation and contrast of The Hobo, and thus resulted in the dark eyes (and greener grass). Hmm, bah, if got any gathering I’ll let you know. LoL, me rotting at home too.. xD

Hey there I’m here to bug you again :) I love both photos, so I can’t say which one that I loved more, since it’ll be so unfair of me because both photos are so absolutely lovely!

For “The Hobo”, the colour saturation is stunning, as well as the contrast. I never dared to take a photo of a dog because the previous attempt left me dead scared. I was seeing my neighbour’s dog at the playground and she’s usually the mild and quiet kind, but when I whipped out my camera she started barking at me like mad! LOL! That stray dog in that photo is such an angel in contrast!

For “The Loner”, I must say that it’s another excellent B&W photo! Black and white are excellent in portraying shapes, patterns and stuff alike, and looks like you’ve used it at the right place! Nice title too! It’s not weird at all. It’s purrrrfect!

Thanks for your kind words teddY. =)

Well, I love to kick saturation to a high level, I love colourful stuffs, that’s why, hehe. Did you get bitten by her? hehe. I approach The Hobo when he’s sleeping, that’s how/why. =p My own dogs/puppies charge towards me (to lick me) whenever I approach them, tho. =D

Thanks again! =)
