24.03.08 - Balancing is So Scary!
Posted in: 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, Landscape Photography, People/Portrait Photography, Photo Diary, Web Development^ Taken weeks ago. I was producing some product shot of my new flash outside my house, before I realize the beautiful sunset - the amazing transition of blue and golden sky. It’s difficult to frame this shot tho, because there’s many houses and it’s difficult to not including some of the roofs into my composition (the golden part of the sky is quite low because it’s really late already). To do so, I must go low, and since shooting the sky only is quite bland, I include some reflection from my cousin’s Honda CR-V, =p
Today, I wanted to share a good news with you guys, new eSpeed rates! Yes, some of you knew about the overpriced Espeed Time (limited access) service they launched a couple weeks ago. I guess they realized that it’s way overpriced, so here you go, new rates for both Espeed Time and Espeed Unlimited.
I wonder if I can change my package to eSpeed Time during my A level exams, lol, or should I just terminate it? I can hardly control myself, sigh. =( And yea, although still WAY WAY WAY more expensive that what you get in Singapore, Malaysia and etc, but at least, it’s cheaper! 30 bucks less means feel less frustrated when your connection is bad, no? LoL.
^ I hope I didn’t made you felt off your chair when you saw this, =p Just a portrait of me, taken by sister during Chinese New Year. We were having a drink at a murtabak restaurant in Tutong, before we head off to uncle’s house for lion dance performance. =) I kind of like this because I rarely have a normal expression in photos (I either laugh too strong, ie. 笑太大力, or I have perverted smile or I act cool too much, blehz). And I am loving this blue split toning effect! =)

Nice pics:D
The rates are far more better now, but I demand something cheaper:D
你的照片很够力喔!
Balancing? Are you still learning? Good luck. :)
Btw, nice photos.
Hey nice shot, I like the way you’ve used the reflections off the car glossy surface to paint a lovely evening shade. It reminds me of the painting Scream though, I feel a tinge of sadness and despair in evening shots. Maybe it’s just a very personal view, haha. I understand how frustrating and time-consuming it is to exclude certain objects out of a photo! When I take HDRs I hate to include moving objects in it because the generator will usually throw up an ugly shadow where the objects were once at… heh.
Anyway glad to know that they’re finally doing something about the rates! It just sucks to know that they’re actually overcharging people for the simplest service. A big cheers to consumer rights!
Nice self-portrait! You looked a little bit different from what I’ve expected you to look like from your previous photos. Nonetheless, it’s NICE :) haha. Well I will never post a self-portrait unless I get my braces done, which is another 720+ days down the road. Eeeks!
poli275: 你的照片很够力喔! <– haha, how come? =p And yea, cheaper and yet still expensive, but still, it’s a good news, =p
Mable: Yea, guess I am the slowest in guys, sigh, sooo not talented in driving, lol!
teddY: I think I get what you mean, but I thought some ‘intelligent’ software will remove them? =p I never tried HDR in places with lots of people, tho. =p (in fact, only tried HDR twice!)
Haha, I’m in Brunei, so yea, we only have 1 ISP (and before this, we only have 1 mobile operator too), they dominated the industry and so it’s up to them to put up the price tag, =p
I thought so myself, too. =p I think my face looks round, lol, probably the angle and a bit of my baby fat (urgh, I don’t look like a 20 years old anyway). I’ll wait, =p
Then quick, get your license. Or you wanna change your driving instructor?
Lovely picture of the sunset! And nice glasses too. ;)
Mable: Soon I guess (I mean test), 1-2 hours per week, lol. =S Too late to change la, =p
Ivy: Thanks. =p
Well if you’re thinking of removing certain objects in a scene, I guess Photoshop can do it. But given my limited skills I can only remove then if they’re against a plain (or patterned) background. For complicated ones I’ll just try to crop them out, or if everything fails, either post the photo and pray that nobody notice the flaws or just dump it into the recycle bin. Haha.
