12.07.08 - It’s Time To Start My Revision, Again

Haha, just a random title, =p

But seriously, it’s exam time again, then we’ll have our A2 soon after that, gosh. I’m actually planning to buy a desktop PC (mom gave me the green light, I can order one anytime from now onwards. You think I’m lucky? Yea yea, it is because she’s tired of waiting for me to finish photo-editing, she wanted to play games, lol). But now I’m thinking of holding my purchase for two months, until the end of our A level exams. Currently looking at Acer desktop, any other recommendation? I want model (not just brand), please. =D

Bah, here’s my recent (lol, 2 days actually) favourite shots, =p

Dramatic Sunset

^ I was drooling at the dramatic sunset, when I was on my way to a CHMS Dancing Night thing, lol. This shot is quite heavily processed in lightroom, I hope for good. =) A bit noisy because Noiseware doesn’t work, =\ Framed this when the car is moving, so yea, the composition is a result of luck - good or bad, I don’t know.

Maybe I’ll go shoot some sunset soon. =)

LT12 - Chill out!

^ Love the smiles in this shot, and I like the way Tiong (on the right) act as a foreground element, too. =D And FooGN looks really good in this shot, very nice smile. =) And this shot also captured the weirdness of JieMing, look at his pose, I have no idea why he did that, =S

Love your first photo. I enjoyed those scenery shots which always calm me down. But then, the cloud have the sort of like “IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD” cloud. It’s just me. Surely.

Nice second photo. They always laugh anyway. XD

love the first pic, but for some reason, the second one draws me in even more. maybe it’s the joy in the pic that’s heartwarming to see =)

w3ihon: Yea, agree with what you think, I mean what the photo is implying, =p Sunset is rather dramatic so I think they are less likely to be calm, I think. =p I love dramatic scenery shots, tho. =D

Haha, yea but it’s not easy to get a totally natural candid from FooGN, =p

Lizzie: Hey frequent commenter, I like! =D Thanks girl. =p

Yeap, I think it’s by far my favourite candid (other than those portraiture candid, tho). I’m bringing my camera to MD on a daily basis recently, so I can capture the moment we shared (before the exams return~). =D

Saw Stuart Lee (Mr. Lee) in CHMS on Saturday night, =p!

4 weeks to exam…. Judgment day is arriving… parents day also….

hi there, i like the 2nd picture. manual edit or one of the new ‘presents’ ? xp

IngSiang (Vagabond) Posted on 14 July, 2008 at 11:50 pm

poli275: Gonna be so dead during VIP day, darn it.

YC: Preset but manually tweaked, preset doesn’t work quite as well for B&W, especially when I need to lighten up their faces but retain the details & shadows like emphasising their smiles. =)

Whoops, I didn’t know you included the sunset photo as part of the blog post, so I’ve left a comment on the Flickr page instead :P my bad! I must say that I’m impressed by the glowing clouds in the sky!

For the second photo, I love the contrast and the slight yellow, warm hue. Tiong’s got a nice watch!

teddY: Haha, thanks for commenting all the way teddY! =) Much appreciated, =p I hope the shot isn’t too terribly dark, I’m about to calibrate my monitor soon (I hope) and I wonder if that shot would turn into a piece of black, lol!

how much is Spyder2Express in M’sia btw? =) Thinking of buying 1, =p

FooGN has a better watch actually, it’s hidden due to the angle, tho’. =p
