A Short Picnic @ Tungku Beach

Unwind

Not really a picnic as we only brought a few pack of snacks and two bottle of soft drinks, lol. But it was fun enough, with lots of laughing and very, very pretty sunset. =)

Too bad I’m not ready to capture the sunset properly, and I think it would be more appropriate for me to capture it when I go there alone (or with a few friends who are interested in it).

When I look back at the photos, the atmosphere and moments we shared flashed back, and that’s something really nice, I think. That’s what photos are all about…

Nikon VS Canon: D40 VS 400D

Facing a very big dilemma now, man, really don’t know whether I should spend B$1,200++ on an EOS 400D (spend more, but more features) or B$900++ on Nikon D40 (left more $$ for lens, but the body itself has less feature).

As I mentioned in previous post, I am planning to buy a d-SLR, probably within weeks (if I make up my mind early, or someone offered me a good second-hand deal), else I’ll wait till after my AS paper. I have around B$1,500 to spend, but I’ll try to spend as little as I can. Since this is the first BIG purchase in my entire life, I’ll take my time to think about it. Family isn’t very supportive on this (brother said I am crazy, mom no comment since I am spending the $$ I earned myself), so yea, I have to depend on myself, boo. =(

Well, it’s not about choosing the d-SLR itself only, it’s about choosing the system (when we talk about d-SLR, it’s not about the camera/body itself only, it’s about the system which includes the body, the lens, flash units and etc). The decision I made on this is going to stick with me forever (or cost me a fortune to change my decision): if I choose Nikon D40, I am going to use Nikon forever, the lens, the flash and etc and same things for Canon.

Updates: I end up with the D40, for more, read here

07/07/07 Sports Day & 08/07/07 TingTing’s Birthday

Last Saturday was MD’s Sports Day. Quite boring day, many people escaped, me and CheeTa stupid, go marchpass, =S Everyone left for Gadong or some where else when we were march-passing! -.-” Anyway, took some photos, with ChiHo, but I feel quite uneasy shooting with my compact digital camera, as there’s so many expensive d-SLRs around me, damn! =(

Not many good action shots, got quite a number of funny shots tho, mostly with CheeTa, hehe! =D And we were too bored that we make (actually I was the one who make it) the Yellow-Indera-Tupperware House emblem/flags! It’s so cool and unique! But most of the Inderas were very emo that day, because we were losing, lol, whatever, hehe! =DI like his pose, but a bit out of focus, buu, my bad, my compact digital camera wasn’t fast enough (focusing speed) for sports photography, =(Tiong! Woo! And again, slightly out of focus, my bad. =(CheeTa @ Kay, the ‘Yellow Indian’! Haha, that’s CheeTa, and our proud Yellow-Indera-Tupperware house emblem/flags! It’s so cool! Woo! xDThe BANZAIsts! xD Me and CheeTa, the rest left us for Gadong when we were marchpass-ing, wtf. Anyway, we had our own fun, so yea! xDThe Yellow-Indera-Tupperware House emblem/flags! WOO! I think it rocks, hahaha! xDThe only few(just a dozen of us) high-spirit Inderas who ’syok sendiri’ in the field, when our house was losing, HAHA! Now that’s what I call sportsmanship, HAHA! xD Courtesy of CheeTa.The cheerleaders, and who’s hand is it? F…ck, spoiled my shot, LoL. I like the banners of each house tho, very well done. =) Continue Reading…

BCA Poster Posted! I(We) Are So Proud of It!

Today is the deadline for our Breast Cancer Awareness poster, which we voluntarily became the first group to do it. The poster is for our Breast Cancer Awareness Club (in MD), and there’s about ten of us in the group, included: JingYi, Sheeling, PikShien, YenLu, CaiYen, CheeTa, TziShiong, EngYun (And I think ChiawYee and YiShien are going to join us soon too).

We’re given the task last Thursday. We had a few meeting, discussed the layout and stuffs, and we started working on Friday. We rushed the poster for 3 consecutive days- Friday afternoon, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

The AJKs (Ahli Jawatan Kuasa / Committee members) of BCAS were totally impressed, they keep on saying that they’re impressed and very happy about it, yay! xD Continue Reading…
