Millie’s Farewell at Aulait

Last night, I saw Millie Lee, who came back from IMU, M’sia with Jeffrey for a short term break (I think, she’s back for 1 week only). Therefore, I decided to release this set of photos which were taken on her farewell high tea at Aulait, some 2-3 months ago.

The photos are taken by me, Louis and ChungSun (I think), with 2 cameras - a Canon EOS 350D with 100-300mm and Nikon D40 with 18-55mm. I shot almost exclusively on the Canon because I was practicing for the National Day photo-shoot (I borrowed the Canon from a friend), and limited the photos to a handful of good portraitures only. Most photos are taken by others, and enhanced by me in post processing, =p

YiShien’s Birthday Party (+ Kelvin’s Farewell)

Another birthday party, another set of photos, and another blog post dedicated to showcase them, hah! If there’s such thing called Birthday photographer, I think I should be quite well prepared to accept paid jobs, lol!

^ One of my favourite birthday cake photo, but I think I messed up the colour, haha, should be a bit warmer, blehz. It would be better without the arm being visible (on the left), but hell, I’m too lazy to open up Photoshop, hehe. Continue Reading…

Merry Christmas!

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! =)

I hosted a BBQ party at my house last night and some 15 people turned out. It was a pretty successful night as everyone was enjoying - pictionary-like board game, mahjong and a lot of food. =D It’s not the ordinary bunch of CHMS male gang thought, we have a few new members - Fang HaoRen, Mah ZheFan (both who joined our KK trip) and Jason Chin, woo! As well as 2 friends of FooGN, they’re all cool and friendly people. =)

I Feel Pretty Bad

That explain why I am not very active online these days. Well, still not really in the mood to tackle the rest of the KK trip’s photos, so I’ll just put up some photos I took today at KuiChuan’s house. It was a small gathering, and we were playing Pictionary Mania most of the time, =p

HM’s Birthday 3-in-1 Celebration : B&W

Finally I’m here to update my blog and feature some photos I shoot during the 3-in-1 (float procession, fireworks & Tug-o-War) celebration for His Majesty’s 62nd birthday. It was a great night and I really enjoyed it, with ChiHo, WeiYik, ChungSun and Edwin Lim. =) Like JinYang said, my campaign (as mentioned in the previous post) is doing great and I can see great potential in Edwin, lol!

We (me & ChiHo) reached there at about 5.30pm (to avoid traffic jam), and the rest met up with us by 7pm. We were basically roaming around, shooting while waiting for the float procession and fireworks. I shoot mainly candid and kids/babies because this is the very few occasion which you can see interesting people in Brunei and most aren’t intimidated by cameras (many even posed for us). I was using ChiHo’s 50mm (thanks mate!) so it’s mainly portraits. =p

The fireworks are not quite as amazing but it’s nice to watch, too! It’s long but I was hoping for more big fireworks, rather than a lot of lil’ one, lol. But yea, really long firework show (and there’s 3-4 of them in total throughout the night), I was too lazy to shoot it tho’, since we weren’t in the best position to shoot it, =p

I met JinYang that night, the very first time we met (after knowing each other online), he were snapping around with his 450D + IS lens, =) We also met a couple school mates, Marcos and Arif and etc. =D And at the end of the day (10-11pm), we went MeiKuang to have supper (tired after hours of wandering) and then we went back to padang to shoot and play around with the float procession which parked there and ready to leave. It was fun! =p Crazy camwhore time, duh.

Guess that’s all, photo time! =p This is a black & white series, the best way to present street candid and portraitures, =p I love this series, so yea, hope you guys like it as well, do comment, yea? =)

^ A videographer from RTB, =p I like the way he hold his expression and block all distraction - including being shot by me for about half a minute (2 shots, I think. But takes a bit of manual focusing, =p) He need to minimize vibration and movement, i.e. victim of candid! =D I love the DoF in this shot, too!
