Dilemma: SmugMug or Flickr?
Posted in: Candid Photography, Event Photography, Gathering with Friends, Global Warming / Save Our Earth, Inspiring Websites, Photo-Sharing, Web 2.0I just degraded my server from a $5/month Small Orange plan by AsmallOrange.com (400MB space, 10GB bandwidth) to a $25/year Tiny Orange plan (75MB space, 3GB bandwidth). I bought the Small Orange plan (which I don’t need) at first due to my wrong valuation of space/bandwidth usage. Until today, I haven’t even break the 50MB barrier on space usage, and barely hits 2GB on bandwidth usage.
P.S: Notable customer service from ASmallOrage.Com. The guy degrade my account instantly (after he confirms my need/want) and they refund me all the price differences between the two plans for this month.
Since I saved (when I decided to buy something, I allocate budgets, if I get that particular thing at a cheaper price, I’ll assume I ’saved’ some money, just my own policy) $35 per year now, I decided to get myself a paid photo-hosting account. For all this time, Flickr is my first and only choice. I was impressed by Flickr for long, but I found Smugmug.Com recently. Continue Reading…
