Yea, more photos from the basketball tournament. I stayed back to watch because a number of my friends are playing, which includes Renegades, Whatever-La Anything-La and Mystique Mythstique. Nothing much that can be say here in public, hahaha to say except that Whatever-La Anything-La, Mystique Mythstique and Renegades rock! =)
19.04.08 - Shooting Girls Shooting Basketballs
Posted in: 50mm f/1.8, ECA Activities, Maktab Duli, Sports PhotographyMF (manual focus) + prime lens (can’t zoom lo) + 10 girls running fast in the basketball court + very little light (even when I use f/1.8 and ISO 1600, my shutter speed can hardly go beyond 1/125th second) …
=
… blur, OOF (out of focus) shots and a crazy/pervert-looking photographer, lol.
Seriously, just trying to get some shots done, but it’s catastrophic. These 4 are the only ones which are acceptable. =\ Basically, I am not doing any composition at all, all I do is shoot a lot and hope that 1 out of 10 of them is acceptable. Most of my time was spent on following the ball while MF-ing in split seconds, lol. Tough. =\ Might give it another try in coming matches, depends on whether I can keep up with my schedule or not.
By the way, life took a good turn these days, I am expecting brighter and happier days after my June exams, hehe. =) I am very happy these days, =p
Last Wednesday, we (Maktab Duli Health Awareness Club) had a visit to JPMC (Jerudong Park Medical Center).
It was interesting and fun, we get to see luxury rooms (B$800 per month, B$300 per month and such), all the machines and stuffs. I was busy shooting most of the time tho, running to the front of everyone (or tailing at the back) and squeeze from one corner of the room to another corner, just to get the wide-angle shot I want, haha.
Something notable, our ‘tour guide’, Olivia has an amazing accent and very good English, listening to her is enjoyable. =)
Special thanks to JingYi (the President), teacher and Olivia for making this trip such a big success (except for the delay, we reach school at around 5pm+, and some parents were worried I think).
Ok, as usual, I would let the photos do the talking. (Crap, the more I shoot, the less I type. And I think my writing skill is getting worse and worse, although it had never been good)
^ I love this group photo, no one blinked! That’s tough. =p I love the reflection on the glasses behind us, too! =D Continue Reading…
MD Academic Award for End-of-Year Exam 2007
Posted in: CHMS, Event Photography, Maktab Duli, People/Portrait PhotographyToday was the presentation ceremony of Academic Award for our end-of-year exam last year. Overall, it was pretty lame
but the photo-taking session was quite fun (but many people left very early, buu~). I was there just because I were lucky (those who are in the same BEs as the top students weren’t that lucky) enough to be the top in my BE (tutor group), blehz, it was a lame award tho, but better than nothing la~
The biggest winner of the ceremony is… CHMS~ LoL! Anyway, the actual biggest winner of the day is ChungSun and ChiiHaw, each of them bag 4 awards.
Sien~ the Top Ten in College and Top in Subjects 的 trophies are way cooler than Top in BE’s! I want ler~ (but I could never get it la)
These photos are taken by my mom. =)
