Last Sunday - the last day of my holiday, I went to Tutong for a BBQ with my cousins and aunts. 04.04.08 - I Reached My Ultimate Tensile Stress

Ok, lame title, haha, kind of stress about my Computing these days, blame myself for being ke-kiang but yet lazy, sigh.

According to The Secret, I should think positive, so yea, I am taking a rest now, watched some comedy and did some post-processing, oh yea~ it makes me feel good. =) Watched the DVD (The Secret) this morning, it’s.. quite nice. =)

It’s something that resonate with my philosophy in a number of stuffs, including religions and psychology and etc. However, I didn’t get so into it, yet, it takes time to digest them, probably I should read the book, the movie is a bit too intense. =p (like non-stop streaming of thoughts and ideas into your brain, urgh)

Well, I completed 20% of my project, doesn’t go quite smoothly but I have to believe that I can. =)

Bah, time for the photos to do the talking, hehe, and oh yea, this is the first time I blog on the new Wordpress 2.5, and oh, it’s SO cool! Darn it, they should release this before I decided to go with Flickr! They now have a nifty built-in Gallery system! Grrrr…

P.S: And the full screen post editor is really nice to work with! Especially when you need to move many 500px photos around like me, hehe! Kudos Wordpress developers!

Hands-on Review: Photoshop Express

The long awaited, online browser-based, ‘express’ & free version of the popular photo-editing software titan, Photoshop Express is finally here!

I signed up and gave it a test drive. I am quite pleased and happy about the whole thing actually, provided that:

  1. I never expect miracles from it, it’s an online browser-based application, and it’s FREE. So, no layers, no fancy masking, only some basic but useful tools (but they threw in the Sketch tool, I wonder why).
  2. I understand that it’s not so ‘express’ for me because of the terrible connection of our local ISP.
  3. You get 2GB free storage (I don’t need it tho, I have my Flickr). I notice the “account type” option in My Account page, and I think we can expect a paid version soon, perhaps something like more features (especially in the “effects” section and more storage).

I am not very good in writing, so I’ll just use a bunch of screenshots to give you guys some preview (like what Physics teacher said, when you need to describe something, draw diagrams, in this case, use screenshot!).

Desmond Farewell BBQ Party @ My House : Group Photos

I decided to release these photos over several posts/installments, instead of one lengthy post of everything. This allows me to really work through everything days after days (instead of waiting for my so-called free time) and talk more about different type of shots I got for a particular event.

Today’s I’ll release the ultimate (lol) group photo taken that night. It’s not very well planned, and I am not terribly happy about it because someone is not listening to the photographer (nobody heard me tho, someone were too loud, LoL), HAHA. Believe me, it would had been a lot better if it’s taken indoor, although there might be some issues with empty spaces in my tiny living room. Continue Reading…

Health Expo @ ICC

As stated in my previous post, our Health Awareness Club were chosen to represent Maktab Duli (actually it’s Ministry of Education) during the Health Expo at ICC, from yesterday until Sunday.

We did a lot of stuffs (which we all regretted), and although the budget is very generous, what for? We did a lot, suddenly a teacher come in, scold/criticize our hard work, and saying that other schools completed it already and why we haven’t bla bla bla, wtf? Darn you, didn’t do anything, only know how toand talk crap there.

Seriously, I don’t feel like blogging much about the whole event anymore. Terrible experience, and this is going to be the one and only time (I/we do all these), ’nuff said.

P.S: Just ask me personally about it, lol. And by the way, some of the Biology teachers were being very nice to us, including Teacher Lina. =) Continue Reading…
